Bonjour, comment ca va? Ca va Bien, Aujourd’hui, c’est vendredi.
This time last year I was gallivanting through Europe with my favorite human; eating baguettes, pain au chocolat and fromage, basically falling in love with the European way of life. Today, I am taking a trip down memory lane and sharing part one of my photo diary with you all.
The week spent in Paris was like a dream. Paris is the definition of je ne sais quoi, it’s full of simple as well as opulent elegance and undefinable grace. The Parisians are some of the loveliest people I’ve ever met. They were all willing to help us learn phrases in French and give us directions.
Let’s start with pictures of the Eiffel Tower…
Okay, I know I won’t make a lot of friends by saying this, but Avenue des Champs-Élysées was my least favorite area of the city. Its the Time Square of Paris, but to be fair, I did not really give the area much of a chance. Parts of the 8th arrondissement were charming and I wish I had explored it a bit more, but I became instantly overwhelmed by the amount of people. Our dream is to spend Christmas in Paris one of these years. I would love to see this area lit-up with Christmas lights.
Le Jardin de Luxembourg
Pont Alexandre III
This is my favorite bridge in the city. The gilded, ornate and extravagant detail of the bridge is breathtaking.
This includes various pictures of Notre Dame, the Seine and architecture of the city.
Wow, that was a lot of pictures. Stay tuned, there will be more to come.
